At Nest Designs, we make clothing for everyday wear. Our basics are perfect on their own, they can be dressed up or down, or they can be used as a base layer on colder days. We make our basics collection in colours that match virtually everything that’s already in your closet, taking the guesswork out of what you’ll wear today.
Our bamboo basics designs are timeless and made of high-quality fabric that feels good on the skin.
Our Premium Bamboo Cotton Blend
Our bamboo basics are made from a bamboo cotton blend meant for movement, breathability, and comfort. This blend is made from 70 percent bamboo muslin, 25 percent organic cotton, and 5 percent spandex—giving a touch of stretch to the garment so you don’t feel restricted moving around. Our basics are designed to be a little looser, enhancing airflow and offering a satisfying fit for babies, toddlers, and women.
This bamboo cotton blend fabric is easy to care for, too. Our products don’t require special washing instructions because we build simplicity into the design, including garment care and maintenance. To clean Nest Designs basics, wash them with like-coloured fabrics in warm water and tumble dry on low. No bleaching, ironing, or dry-cleaning is required to keep these basics looking their best.
Womenswear Basics
We’re excited to announce that womenswear is now part of our basics line! Our women’s collection began with PJs and the response from our customers was amazing. We’ve expanded our clothing line for women with everyday basics that you feel good wearing. Our clothes are cozy enough for around the house, but stylish enough to wear out for errands, coffee with friends, or playdates.
Our bamboo basics womenswear collection offers much more than PJs. This collection includes cap sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, shorts, tanks, a slip dress, capri pants, leggings, underwear, and more. Our minimal style goes with everything and can be layered with other clothes for all-season wear.
There’s so much to love about our women’s line. These are items you’ll wear over and over because they’re so comfortable and come in colours that are easily matched with other clothes. Check out our womenswear basics to see the available colours: grey dawn, mist, charcoal, and warm taupe (colour selection varies depending on the product).
For each product, we include details that make the garment incredible. Depending on the product, these details may include a comfortable fit, useful pockets, or a drawstring tie in the waistband. All of our womenswear basics come in sizes extra small, small, medium, and large.
Kids Basics
Our baby and kids’ basics line just got better with bamboo basics. We’re keeping the old favourites around, but we’ve added some new styles into the mix. Take a look at our new short sleeve Kimono T-shirts, harem pants, kimono rompers, and more! We’re also thrilled to introduce our new drop-bottom romper, which fits like a traditional romper, but is open at the back, making it extremely useful if your little one is potty training!
We make clothes for children that look amazing and are constructed with well-thought-out design. Our kimono style onesies, shirts, and rompers feature buttons that snap up the side rather than the middle—perfect for tummy time without lying on a seam and making it easier to dress your wee one. For little bubs starting to dress themselves, we’ve made the task easier with shoulder snaps on T-shirts to simplify getting clothes over their head.
Look for these soft and playful basics in warm taupe, grey dawn, and mist colours. Size availability varies by product, but we offer basics in our collection for newborns up to a child’s size 6-7.

These products are made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, lending comfort, breathability, and fabric flexibility to adventurous and playful days. The ribbed fabric weave maximizes airflow and moves comfortably with active children, so they don’t overheat or feel restricted.
