Modern Nursery Inspiration

Modern Nursery Inspiration

We're delving into a Modern Nursery look, one good enough I might steal it for my own bedroom. Don't be afraid of bringing bold darker colors (like the Benjamin Moore Beau Green shown above) into a nursery space!  Bringing in a bold statement wall and balancing it with lighter tones and textures will not only make your nursery look ultra luxurious, it will also be calming and comfortable.

The Breakdown:

Babyletto Lolly 3-in-1 Convertable Crib in Black/Natural / Ivory Area Rug from Birchlane / Parkay Small Hamper from CB2/ Crib Sheet Nest Designs Feather Grey

This ultra-modern Babyletto crib in Black/Natural helps us anchor our the whole look and is softened with a textured rug and hamper. Our Bamboo Blended Crib Sheet in Feather Grey is the perfect addition to the whole look.

Add a little whimsy and texture with this sheep, designed by Haans-Peter Krafft, a German designer, in 1982. This little guy will run you about $1200.00 (no, unfortunately I did not misplace the decimal). Although we realize the hefty price tag is definitely not in everyone's budget, we do love the idea of layering different textures. Substitute with a budget-friendly sheep rocker or a faux sheep throw for your glider.

I absolutely love the idea of framing a black and white photo of your dog (or cat, hamster, goldfish, whatever your beloved pet is) and turning that into your nursery wall art. A little personal touch that has a deeper meaning and brings all of your family together. Gold frames will add that touch of luxe you're after!

To fit in with the modern look, choose a glider with clean lines. The Graham Glider from West Elm definitely make those late night feedings a little more comfortable. Let's face it, those sitting naps are vital for motherhood in the early years, and here is a great place to take one.

Bringing in a bit of greenery helps add some life to the room. A designer favourite, the fiddle leaf plant is great to top off the look. If a real one is too tough to upkeep, a fakey might be the way to go. For some fiddle leaf tips, see HERE

Hope you're a bit inspired!
